bookmark_borderBye bye Blogger Pro

I’m guessing this will be news du jour. Google have canned Blogger Pro, well not canned it completely as I’ll still have access to some of the advanced features, but you’ll no longer be able to upgrade to the Pro version. In return for my hard earned cash I get a Blogger Hoodie which, given my efforts to purchase a Blogger T-shirt, will cost Google more than my Pro subscription was in the first place.

I’m sure other people will be a bit put out but, as Evan said in his email, the Pro subscribers helped keep Blogger on it’s feet.

bookmark_borderBlogathon 2003

It seems like so long ago now… but the one of the post activities includes the giving of awards to those deemed worthy.

There are several good blogs chosen for awards, and I would highly recommend them, in particular though I would highlight The Book of FSCK “His ground-breaking project introduced readers to a side of society not often seen–the world of those who benefit most from our sponsors’ generosity.”

I read all of this site as it was posted (one of the few I managed to keep up with) and it had a big impact on me.

Finally a card game I may actually be able to play. I think it sounds more complicated than it really is, and relies wholly on the players not being too combatitive in their approach, with a silly side probably compulsory (people who moan that “well that’s just silly” shouldn’t play methinks…)

1000 Blank Cards“The remaining cards can be thrown away, carefully archived in a huge library of three-ring binders, or baked into a tasty casserole – your choice.”

P.S. Check out the comment from Hans about the David Blaine post (first one today) – nice one mate.
