We are big Kevin Spacey fans, so were eager to see this and, once again we weren’t disappointed. Wonderfully acted by all the leads, with a nicely paced story, and enough involvement that you actually cared what had happened. This kind of movie doesn’t always get the credit it deserves but as a slow-burner it had a nice twist or two at the end, perfectly conducted to throw you off balance. Dealing with capital punishment as a theme, and with some uncomfortable scenes, the whole thing was well directed and Kate Winslet performed well. This will definitely be a DVD purchase.
