Hanging on the Telephone

Somewhat related to Anna’s tales of unwelcome phone calls, I was reminded of a recent phone call my Mother made.

It was Louise’s birthday and we had nipped out for a coffee when my Mum phoned. As we weren’t in, she thought she’d leave a cheery birthday message. My sister joined in too, and a happy, harmonised version of Happy Birthday was left on the answering machine.

Would’ve been much nicer if they had phoned the right number.

I’m waiting for my Mum’s phone bill to come in as I am dying to get the number of the house they phoned and ask them what they thought!
