Alter-Blogging
Hmmm need a better title.

Anyone else noticed a subtle shift in the way we blog these days? With the arrival of stable commenting systems, BlogRoll etc, there is a lot less cross-linking of personal sites, instead the you get mini-dialogues between site owner and site visitor, played out in the comments box.

Could someone please draw up some rules for this please. If someone adds a comment, which is a question, or in some way requires a response, should I respond in the comments? On my website proper. On their website? Do I drop them an email?

I keep coming up with the same issue and I really don’t want to offend anyone by getting it wrong.

So, fellow bloggers, and bloggesses? (Hey, why not)… how do you handle it?
