I have three branches of my bank within 20 minutes of the house. Two small local branches at Bothwell* and Uddingston and a larger one in Hamilton. The Hamilton branch is stuck in the one-way system and parking is a bugger so I don’t use it much.
So today, when trying to pay a large-ish cheque into my account, I found that BOTH Uddingston and Bothwell branches were closed for refurbishment. They are all of 10 minutes apart, so I would imagine this has left a lot of people (myself included) royally** pissed off. Who’s bright idea was that then?
* I used to live in the flat above this branch. Many nights were spent trying to figure out a way to drill through the floor and into the vault.
** No, this is not a hint. It’s not a ‘Royal’ Bank of Scotland…
