2008.
No resolutions from me as I don’t bother with them, and also because I decide what mine would be back in November. That said, the traditional “must lose weight” makes an appearance, as does “must read more”. The former is largely down to the fact I’ve not been running… and because I’ve been using that as an excuse to eat everything in sight with the proviso that “I’ll diet in the New Year”.
The latter is mainly because I’d like to get away from BUYING books that go unread until I take a holiday.
So, really, 2008 will be the year of “NO”. I need to protect my waistline and my freetime!
Ummm, right. Two resolutions then.
What are yours? Do you bother with them? Is the whole thing just a sham? And, this might just be, why is the room spinning? Is it anything to do with staying up drinking until 7am??
I’ve got a couple to list, but will probably do that on D4D later. But yeah, “exercise more” is one of them, although Herself would kill me if I put “read more” – I’ve got enough books already, and have to limit my purchases of new ones.
So, my list would be something like :
Exercise more / Lose weight
Get motivated
Finish off a couple of albatross projects
Get new business/clients
There’s others, but they’re more in line with the 5-year plan I occasionally blether about.
baby have i got a book for YOU! 😛
happy new year Gordon! Hope it’s a goodun!
Happy New Year! Good luck with your goals.
Haven’t decided what my resolutions will be. I’m letting 2008 sink in a bit before I decide.
Happy new year. No resolutions but, by God, I am going to be soooo thin by July.
What are these New Year Revolutions of which you speak? 😉
Hope it’s a good one for you.
Can’t believe how long ago some of the ‘intersting discussions’ you reference below were…
Give up on men …
… Maybe.
I don’t bother – otherwise I’d be weeping at being a failure mid-month. There are some things I’d like to achieve, and hopefully I’ll do just that.
Happy new year to you. And the cat.
1. No carbonated drinks.
2. Wake up earlier every morning especially on weekends.
3. Learn to cook.
4. Eat healthier food.
5. Less caffeine.
Personally I’ve forfeited no 2, 4 and 5. And happy late new year to you.
