SomeTHiNG… I think I need to expand my linkage…
Year: 2001
Xmas
I was just checking back some notes about my recent redesign, it took me over 4 months to do, not in straight work hours, just took that long to get up enough drive to do the damn thing… Then I find out that I can write tag lines for websites without even realising it. Am I trying too hard? One thing I’ve been meaning to do is throw up what I use for my ‘start’ page, so there it is over there on the right… is kinda work orientated, and needs updated (DeskMod is dead now) but it is my starting point for hours of surfing and reading. Seriously I could easily spend an entire day online surfing and probably not get bored. Well that’s not strictly true, my average ‘internet attention span’ is down at around 15 mins at the moment.. and that’s being generous.
Ohh I’ve just been informed that it’s only 6 months and 5 days to Christmas. Yes my wife is a Crimbo nutter…
Captions
ikea – meant to say, Louise was reading through (actually reading…) the catalogue the other night and noticed that it is filled with little tidbits… for example, one page has a room with a man over at a CD player, and a baby facing the camera sitting in a chair. The captions detail the price and style of the chair, the CD unit, etc etc, the last caption states: The baby is the models own and is priceless… awwwww.. cute eh! The damn thing is littered with them, which is good as it currently resides in the toilet as reading material (always handy when you are *busy*).
N2S: am I the only person who does this? Maybe it’s a bit freaky and I shouldn’t mention it… also update the Visit links – you are missing a lot of people out!
Imperiatric
Tuppence – this seems to be the theme of my week so far – started on Sunday whilst we were trying to figure out how much carpet we would need for our new living room:
“Right, if it’s 25 feet by 11 feet, and the carpet costs £6.99 a sq.metre, and it only comes in 10 feet widths, then… em … aargh!!”
This was followed by RuhBehKa’s post and one of those DIY shows on TV where the builders discussed:
“Well if it’s 6 inches deep and you’re covering 20 sq.metres, then you’ll need 3 tonnes of cement..”.
I’m 6’0 tall (around 1.86m I think) don’t have a clue what I weigh in kilos, and get thoroughly depressed at what I weigh in stones. 1972 was the year we went metric (year before I was born) yet I am one of the majority who work in this strange ‘imperiatric’ system. Oooh think I just invented a new word!

PIXELSURGEON – If the World didn’t suck, we’d all fall off… (found in a comment in the source) An excellent example of View > Source, laugh a minute!
Dolls
SpasticReb.com – Hey now you can dress up Reb (although the ‘bloke’ in me keeps thinking – looks good as it is! Sorry Reb…)
