Life update

It’s almost the end of January (how!) and suffice to say that life has been continuing at full speed. Plans to post more regularly (weekly) remain idealistic, but given everything else going on I’m not stressing about it.

So, what is going on?

Well, we are in the process of clearing my Mum’s flat to get it ready to sell. No small task, not to mention all the memories/grieving moments that go with it.

We have also recently (at the start of the month) bought a new (to us) motorhome! She is called Vera, and we’ve already had a first trip up to Aviemore in it. A couple of nights to test it out and make sure we know how everything works and it all went pretty well. Couple of wee things to learn and sort out but aside from that it was fab! Jack loved sleeping in the pull down bed above the cabin too!

Speaking of, he’s growing so fast, becoming so independent already and takes so many things like this in his stride. We really are so very lucky.

And of course my new job is starting to bed in, we are at the beginning of a massive transformational project and I have a large stream of work ahead of me, still a lot to learn but it’s already proving to be the right decision. Not only that but I now work 9 days in a fortnight so get every second Friday off!

And as we head into February we can, hopefully, start to get longer term things moving. Step one is clearing the garage which, right now, is barely usable. We have my turbo trainer at one end, a small home gym to build in it, and a LOT of crap to go to the dump/charity. We’ve moved a few times now and both of us are at the ‘let’s get rid’ stage.

In short, life is good but I really wish it would slow down a little!!
