BlogThis

Seems like a new version of BlogThis has appeared too… if you use it you will find (or soon find) that once you have posted, the little window stays open and gives you the option of editing your posts (which then resizes and takes you to the main Blogger page…

Might be a Blogger Pro thing only though. But hey, a new feature is a new feature.

Independence Day

The date has not gone unnoticed here at Something Towers, but I’ve not really found the need to mention it, until this was forwarded round work: Pitchfork Picks Our New National Anthem. I strongly urge my American visitors to read this over, and the rest of us can learn something about American history and then chuckle at the thought of “Viva Las Vegas” becoming the next national anthem for the US of A…. or the “YMCA”… tee hee…

Run for cover!

Pavement Terror, or “what can be achieved with a backfiring van and a camera”.

Contact details

Continuing the theme…

For those of you on MSN Messenger, I am frequently contactable at: snowgoon2206 [at] hotmail.com.

Drop by and say hi! I’m a poet and I… don’t understand why.

Big Brother

I’ve not commented on this much as it’s been so bloody boring. That was until Lisa entered the house (fray?). Hopefully now we may see something other than everyone being so bloody polite and apologetic, and while I’m sure she will be up for eviction next week, I think the public have a duty to keep her in the house!

Ohh and Gos, come in, your time is up.

Moving address

*Sniff… It is with great… *sniffle… emotion, that I … *sniff…

Oh, OK, not THAT kind of moving address.

I’m moving email address. One of the first services I signed up for (in 1996 I think) was a Bigfoot email forwarding account. I’ve got two accounts with them, one forwarding to my home account, one to my work account. This meant that for many years I could give people the same address no matter my ISP or job location. Unfortunately the spammers have caught up with Bigfoot and discovered the @bigfoot.com suffix, and the number of spam emails I am receiving is rising rapidly week after week. Bigfoot are trying to do something about it but they haven’t made any in-roads for several months now, so it’s time to so my fond farewells, adieu, adieu and all that.

So, if you DO have any details stored as my home email address, you’ll need to change them I’m to: ‘gordon [at] snowgoon.co.uk’ (do I still need to tell people that [at] means @ and to remove the spaces?)

Now I did read a good article about fighting back against spam a few weeks back so I’m off to dig it out and see if there is anything more I can do.
