Odd news

MSP sets record straight on gay jibe.

OK, it’s not that odd, in fact the only odd thing about it is the fact that the Green MSP mentioned, Patrick Harvie, is a guy I went to school with. And FOR the record, I think his proposed Bill on Civil Partnership agreements is a big step forward, here’s hoping it gets passed.

Awwww bless

The night end in tears, but in a good way, bride and groom bawling their eyes out because they were so happy (NOT as one member of our party put it “because they are glad that is over” I’m sure 😉

Top night, bride and groom quite happily intoxicated, and the usual myriad of in-jokes that come from going to a wedding reception with people from work.

Ohhh and lovely setting too – The Old Mill Hotel in Motherwell, with a small waterfall right outside the window.

AND I got to dance with a pretty Texan gal… hope her husband didn’t mind me borrowing her (although I have the distinct impression it was her that dragged me up to dance, but I could be wrong).

So plenty of dancing, laughing, meeting people and.. well everything that makes a good Scottish wedding, including the ceilidh!

Better

Dunno, a migraine two days in a row? Or a reaction to the daily Pharmaton? I think the latter and can back it up as, having not had any today, I’m still awake, my head doesn’t feel like someone is repeatedly kicking it in the same spot, over and over and over… and I don’t feel like either throwing up or having the world fall out my bottom…

Too much information?

Anyway, glad I’m better as I’m going to a wedding reception tonight, same one Alex is going to, for Ian at Yeah, but is it art?

Now where’s the camera?

Bleuch

Headache.
Nausea.
Frequent trips to the loo.

A quote

“Technical writing… requires understanding the audience, understanding what activities the user wants to accomplish, and translating the often idiosyncratic and unplanned design into something that appears to make sense.” Donald Norman, The Invisible Computer.
