Brain on, check
Back to work, working from home and my brain is back on (and secretly pleased that it’s not dealing with drills, spirit levels and the like). Wading through emails, catching up on meeting preparation for tomorrow and side-surfing a few of my usual reads. So without further ado, here is what’s tickling my brain at the moment:

Ohh and I’m waiting for my new PC….

2002 in retrospect
I thought long and hard about my entry. I did.

“Depressingly it was the same old, same old.”

Erk.

How was your year? Don’t tell me, share it with others at the mayfly project 2002.

WAHOOOOO
Finally finished our Xmas shopping! Now I’ve just got another two sets of lights to put up outside, and two shelves for the living room… and a run to the skip with our old mattress… and re-wire the TV properly… and tidy the spare room/office.. and build the new desk, dismantle the old one.. and.. what am I doing sitting here!!

Never count the chickens
DIY sucks. I hate it. Always have, always will. Off to sulk now.

DIY
Items on list: 10
Items completed so far: 7 (plus a couple of extras)

So for once, I’m almost ahead. I’m off the rest of the week and should finish up my to-do list tomorrow. This is unheard of in my chequered DIY history. So far no catastrophes, and I’ve only sworn once.

AND I’ve managed to order a couple more Xmas pressies online.

BUT my new PC isn’t expected until around the 13th of the month. Which happens to be a Friday. So I’ll be getting a new PC on Friday the 13th. Great. Doomed from the start.
