A weekly recap of the articles and posts I’ve read that I think are worth your time.
- Everything Flows: The Koln Concert — I can play the piano, badly, with a lot of practice. So when I hear talent like this I am utterly captivated. Great post, with the back story almost as good as the performance.
- Watch Footage from the Psychology Experiment That Shocked the World: Milgram’s Obedience Study (1961) | Open Culture — Aware of this but not of the detail. Fascinating if scary.
- Prepare your “no” and keep it handy | Derek Sivers — I’ve learned how to say no fairly well, certainly in a professional capacity. My ‘easy’ method is to ask when the ask needs to be completed by and then ‘ohh I can’t I have X’ to finish first and won’t have time. Done.
- Flairy — Custom Folder Icons — Part of my Digital Detox includes tidying up my Documents (iCloud sync’d) folders. It’s more fun with this little app making folders more unique.
- Do-it-all Umami Tofu Recipe — We have introduced tofu to Jack who now proudly proclaims it one of his favourite foods. This (minus the chilli powder) is pretty much how Becca cooks it. DELISH.
- How to Categorise 2,400 WordPress Posts – KnowWhere — Guess what I’ll be doing soon.
- How to Limit Your Siri – This Is My Last — Always good to learn how to limit any “agent”. The EFF has a long history in this stuff.
