What’s a song you’d want your best friend to hear for the first time?
So so many songs. Music is such a huge part of my life this feels like an impossible task. One song? One!
I’d have to go with something special, likely well known, but knowing my best friend (who is my wife) hadn’t heard it would put a different spin on it for sure. Imagine hearing a track for the first time, being unsure of where it’s going, what it’s saying.
Which takes me to a song that’s always deeply impacted me, I can feel the emotions building already. The simple refrain, but that spiralling voice rising and rising, the passion feeling raw and vivid.
Bowie at his very very best. What a track.
