INCREDIBLE!

The important bit first: Paul, Louise’s brother, is being kept in so they can give him an ultrasonic scan tomorrow to check there is no damage. He was in good spirits, and other than being bored out of his mind, said there was only a dull ache. He’s hoping to get home tomorrow.

Now the movies: We only managed two today as we decided to visit Paul. First up The Incredibles. Well what can I say that hasn’t already been said. The guys and gals at Pixar are at the top of their game with this one, the storyline, pacing, and script are all first rate and the animation.. ohh the animation. There are a couple of scenes where, I’m sorry but this has to be said, they have cheated. Pixar MUST have superimposed some of the water and forest scenes in the movie. There is NO WAY that it is ALL animation. I’m onto you Pixar!!

If you liked Monsters Inc, Toy Story, A Bugs Life and any of their short movies, then go see it. You’ll love it. Wonder when the sequel will be released?

Movie 2 was Bridget Jones: Edge of Reason. I’ll keep this short and sweet. If you’ve seen the first one you’ve seen this one. Nothing new, a continuation from the first. Average. With some funny bits.

And so, the weekend draws to a close. Next weekend I’ll have to stave off efforts by my wife to put up our Christmas tree (yes, really). Any advice is most welcome. And yes I have thought about taking the tree outside and burning it, her response: “Oh goody, I can go and buy a bigger one!”.

I fear I may be fighting a losing battle.
