I’ve often considered either switching this site or launching a new one which dealt with my professional interests and opinions, a la zeldman.

Trouble is I’m not sure how many people would care, and how to narrow down what I do so as not to tread into too many areas. Writing, Grammar, Evolution of language, UI design, HCI, web design and usability, educating users, etc etc – the list is endless. That’s one of the joys of being a Technical Communicator – you get to do LOADS of different things, unfortunately it is assumed that you don’t do any of them as well as a ‘qualified’ professional (except the writing bit that is).

Sigh, now I just need to get up enough motivation. Ohh and to check that I can post some stuff without getting slapped by anyone at work … lol.

I also need to start going to bed at a reasonable time and stop reading work emails at 11:46pm! And with that thought in mind, night all!

Ohhh and while we are at it… chatter & speechtherapy are still high on the ‘required reading’ list (although I do like Jason’s (can I call you that Mr.Kottke?) ‘Not recommended at all’ list, which proves once again that there are better minds out there than mine. No honestly…

Toying with a re-design. Not sure why as I’ve done very little with this site for a while now, I think my interest has fizzled out for the time being. Also AGAIN toying with doing some more WinAmp skins, and keeping promising to finish some documentation for geoshell, but still not got around to it. Also need to update the HRL website, and Instant Ideas, and ohhh man, I really can’t be bothered. It’s much more fun sitting surfing for porn, don’t you think?

So – I lied – I’m touching the PC – only been on for 20 mins though.. Oh and yes I should go and correct that spelling error below, but I can’t be bothered. Party was good. Loads of wine and beer left over (ohh bother.. ;-). Off to bed now, still recovering.

House warming party. I’m worrying about the music – wanting to set the right tone and all that… Louise is being suprisingly laid back about the whole thing. But I’m guessing she’ll kick into overdrive on Saturday morning and no doubt will be up at the crack of dawn!

Taking a holiday on Friday and probably won’t touch the PC all weekend, so have a good one people – remember, you’ve only got one life, so this weekend, why not get up and DO SomeTHiNG. I haven’t said that for ages 😉
