I started this blog on 2 June, 1999 . It didn’t feel like much at the time — just somewhere to put the things I wrote.
Since then it’s grown into 3444 posts, adding up to 1,446,109 words. A number I try not to think too hard about.
The longest post is this , which suggests I had more to say than usual, but my regular reader will know that does not guarantee value.
I do post with intention most of the time, and to a loose rhythm — about 2.9 days between posts — though that changes shifts depending on what’s going on in my life at any given time.
And for no good reason that I can figure out, some months take over a bit: July 2026 was one of those. Guessing I had more free time?
