Flippin’ ‘eck! THEY might even win!

UPDATE: EXTRA TIME. Unlucky Sol Campbell though, didn’t see much wrong with that.

UPDATE: It’s all over. Lost on penalties. Again. Oopsy.

Well I said I was supporting Portugal as they were the host nation, but I have to admit that England were unlucky. No way Campbell’s goal should have been disallowed. In saying that, Portugal probably ‘deserved’ the win, but sometimes you get the luck, sometimes you don’t.

Spent most of last night listening to the dulcet tones of my dear wife snorting and snoring and snuffling. Her sore throat has migrated to her head, and she’s sneezing and sniffing like a good ‘un.

And I think she’s passed it to me.

So what else is going on? The rise of the UKIP is a worry, anything that has Kilroy-Silk attached is NOT a good thing people! (preaching to the converted here though, aren’t I). The news that the rail network might be re-nationalised is a worry as, despite the cancelled train this morning, it’s been pretty good using the train to get to work. Re-nationalisation will mean scrapping routes, raising fares and generally making the car look like a much better option than it should be; there was a semi-related news item last week from California I think, where a group was campaigning for a bigger raise to the oil prices to make people use their cars less, might work? Ohhh and of course there is the news that some English fans decided that losing to France was justification enough to start fighting. Quelle surprise?

Site news: If I can be bothered I’ll be changing things here tonight. It’ll be work in progress for a while, as I’ve only really settled the structure but you’ve got to start somewhere I guess…

UPDATE: No I couldn’t be bothered. Might change it tomorrow.

Well we can’t talk about the rugby, the Switzerland and Croatia game was, as Mark Lawrence said, “a great advert for cricket”, speaking of which the English cricket team even managed to snatch a victory from the jaws of defeat. Schumacher won again (yawn) and I’m completely knackered as I spent two hours playing football with my nephew.

I believe there is another game of footie on soon, and with that in mind, I’m off to put on my France top (no, seriously).

Ohhh and I should really talk about nettles, Dan and Armani etc etc but I can’t be bothered.

UPDATE: Well, I think a draw would have been a fair score, a tad unlucky I guess. Ach who am I kidding… twoooo one, twoooo one, twooo one, twoo one. Twooooo one, TWWooo one TTWWWOOOO ONE!!!!!!!

UPDATE: He’s been a busy bee and got it fixed. Once implemented it certainly seems simple enough. Hey, this could catch on!

I have a TypeKey login. Hey what can I say, I’m classic ‘early adopter’.

I spot that Tom has turned on comment moderation using TypeKey and think, hey that’s the first blog I’ve come across that’s turned it on, I’ll test out my TypeKey login.

I presume I am doing something wrong, as I can’t leave a comment there. Anyone got any idea why? I’m getting the error message “Registration is Required”. V.odd.

Check out the new Blogger: Dashboard.

I’ll chuck up a screenshot for this without a blogger account. Meanwhile I’m off to play.

Update: Blogger now has built-in comments, and now displays how many posts have been made on each blog (2,563 on this very site).
Update to the Update: A test blogspot site – new templates are part of this new version as well, and very pretty they are too.

BTW – Was it Peter’s bingo house that won all that money on Saturday?
UPDATE: It was!
