bookmark_borderMust stop

Over the last couple of days I’ve asked a few questions here – site design, old PC etc – and firstly I’d like to thank everyone for their suggestions, even the daft ones.

But I must stop. I’ve got plenty enough to do as it is..

Anyhoo, spent day window shopping, picked up a few bits and bobs (including a DVD player for £34, won’t be long before you’ll get one free with every two DVDs purchased…), and I’ve just opened a nice Ruby Cabernet.

Rugby? What rugby?

Thanks to the joys of eMule and the like, we’ve been enjoying the latest season of Smallville (and before anyone gets all preachy, we own the first series on DVD, and will buy series two and three when they become available…). It’s an interesting view of the young Clark Kent, finding out who he is, and what his powers are (but when ohh when will he figure out he can fly!).

With that in mind, this essay (?) offers an interesting viewpoint and prompts me to consider many aspects of his life that I hadn’t thought about before, an interesting read: Man of Steel, Woman of Kleenex.

Might be a little tongue-in-cheek

Us: We did manage to catch the lunar eclipse over the weekend as we stumbled from a friend’s flat at 1:15 a.m.

Louise: Saying, whilst talking about upcoming parties, that she would be fine with “just some nuts and a chipolata”. Much hilarity.

Me: “Woo Hoo” (need sound). Upon receiving a belated birthday present of The Godfather DVD box set.

Me: Watching the sunrise this morning on the way to work. Lovely.

Right, firstly, thank you to everyone for their birthday wishes, it was really nice seeing all those comments, very heart-warming and all that…

I had an excellent birthday, the meal on Friday night was superb (I’ll post details once I get home to consult the menu), and the hotel was sumptuous.

I did pretty well on the present front too, with my parents surprising me with a refracting telescope, something I know little about but will enjoy learning, and Louise got me (amongst other things) a DVD rewriter, and some WiFi equipment, so the geek in me is happy. Plus plenty of movies, books and so on. But, for the first time ever, I didn’t get any music! I’ll remedy that by buying my own of course…

Ohh yes, I got my cast off on Friday morning, so it was a good day from start to finish.

(And no, I’m not going to comment about Friday night other than to mention the double shower in the room *wink*)

I have a dilemma. Do I watch Celtic in the UEFA Cup final, or do I go and see the Matrix?

I’m swaying towards the football as, with our UGC passes, I can see the Matrix as many times as I want in the coming weeks, and I’ll buy the DVD when it comes out, where as this is the first time in ages that a Scottish football team has managed anything of this magnitude.

So, c’moan the Bhoys! (I think that’s right…)

Lull
Loads in my head but no energy available. Project naming conventions (or lack of them), learning about photography and compiling a list of top photologs (suggestions welcomed/needed!), thinking about getting to the gym, getting 8 Mile on DVD, REALLY needing to do some tidying up tonight, Equilibrium at the cinema first, Mother’s Day, night out on Friday (although I’m double booked), Cadbury’s Finger of Fudge in the vending machine, loads of work that I should be doing, money worries (despite just ordering a digital camera), trip to London (hence the money worries), friend in hospital in two weeks, how long before the pears I bought ripen?, work at home on Friday?
