bookmark_borderA present? For me??

Isn’t it just great when you get home and there is a little padded envelope waiting for you? And isn’t it even better when you had forgotten you had ordered something?

Well simple things and all that, but I ordered a Media Hub last week and swiftly forgot all about it.

Anyway, it’s hooked up now, so no more faffing about under the desk to plugin a pair of headphones, just the push of a button et voila! Such a simple idea and all for only £6.49. Don’t just sit there, go buy one!

bookmark_borderI DO believe!

Errr except I don’t, not fully. So it was with great amusement that I took the Belief-O-Matic test (via Moi).

The results:
1. Unitarian Universalism (100%)
2. Theravada Buddhism (88%)
3. Liberal Quakers (88%)
4. Mainline to Liberal Christian Protestants (84%)
5. Neo-Pagan (80%)
6. Secular Humanism (77%)
7. Mahayana Buddhism (77%)
8. New Age (76%)
9. Taoism (57%)
10. Reform Judaism (56%)
11. Bahá’í Faith (55%)
12. Jainism (54%)
13. Nontheist (53%)
14. Sikhism (51%)
15. Orthodox Quaker (47%)
16. New Thought (45%)
17. Christian Science (Church of Christ, Scientist) (41%)
18. Hinduism (41%)
19. Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (Mormons) (38%)
20. Scientology (35%)
21. Mainline to Conservative Christian/Protestant (33%)
22. Orthodox Judaism (32%)
23. Jehovah’s Witness (27%)
24. Islam (23%)
25. Seventh Day Adventist (22%)
26. Eastern Orthodox (14%)
27. Roman Catholic (14%)

Having checked their definition of Unitarian Universalist, I can safely say that the only bit I truly agree with is the following:
“The Unitarian Universalist Association’s stance is to protect the personal right to choose abortion. Other contemporary views include working for equality for homosexuals, gender equality, a secular approach to divorce and remarriage, working to end poverty, promoting peace and nonviolence, and environmental protection.”

bookmark_borderOnly in…

Well the phrase, that I’ve heard oft mentioned, but not ‘oft’ enough to become a cliche was “Only in America” (coupled with a raising motion of the eyebrows). Typically this was a response to another news story about stupid people who happen to come from America (no I’m not saying Americans are stupid, but you do have your fair share! 😉

I think the phrase, and it’s surrounding intention, needs to change to “Only in Japan” (I would say Asia but it’s too non-specific). From those boobie scarves, to the ‘naked’ skirts we can now add Golden turds.

bookmark_borderNooooooooo!!!!!!

Is there no end to the pain and misery that we have to endure? When will the suffering end? Why must everything bad happen to me? Is there any point in going on? etc etc ad nauseum….

S Club to split up.

I just can’t believe it, my life is in tatters.

This post has been brought to you with a large dose of sarcasm (well, larger than usual)

bookmark_borderDavid Gallagher

Prompted, in part by Gert, I thought I’d go a little further than check my referrers but actually go and find out something about some of the more frequent ones. Now considering the top 5 are (in no particular order):
1. “Kylie’s bum”
2. “kicking men in the nuts”
3. “Kirsty Gallacher”
4. “David Gallagher”
5. “something”

I thought I’d pick the one I knew least about and exclude the one that I really don’t want to find – can you guess which?

So without further ado I give you (and everyone who keeps appearing here looking for him): David Gallagher. An actor it seems, who I’m guessing is quite cute judging by the number of people who append “underwear pics” to their search…

Other thoughts about this little ‘experiment’ :
1. I’m the first site WITHOUT the word something in the URL to appear in the Google search for that very word, and on the first page no less.
2. Kylie’s bum is everywhere, even sitting on my desk, no not literally, I would hardly be sitting here typing this if … ahem… anyway a picture of her is…
3. We (bloggers) keep doing this, offering the search robots more reasons to find our site for things we aren’t really associated with (no matter how much we would like to be…), vicious circle or self-serving linkage? What’s it all about (Alfieee).
