The early days of relationships are wonderful things, all that new relationship energy in your system, spending as much time soaking up this new person, learning them, hearing them, feeling them, touching them, and all the time just wanting more and more and more.
But life continues, jobs are needed, so you have hours without them and, from the exalted high you are experiencing with them, the crashing low when they aren’t around can feel so deep that you realise you are craving anything, longing for anyone, just to feel a small connection, a hint of what you are feeling with the new person who is dominating your thoughts and emotions
Anyone will do at that time, just a small gesture, just the awareness of other people is enough, a sense of being able to make it through the hours to the next message, the next moment, the next embrace with the person who you miss so terribly it hurts.
The longing for any connection until the real one returns and completes you once more, until then you are nobody.
