This Must Be the Place (Naive Melody) [2005 Remastered] by Talking Heads

Share a song that captures the feeling of being understood.

I can’t recall what she said, not exactly, as we lay in bed facing each other, inches apart.

We’d been talking for a while, enjoying being close to one another. It was dark now, the hours had slipped forward.

We were still learning. Still harnessing our new relationship energy. Lying there, just being together. Alone. The world fading as we talked, our eyes deepening.

I can’t remember what she said. I wish I could.

Inside me there was a pause, a light, a lessening of a weight I hadn’t realised I’d been carrying. Or perhaps if was the weightlessness of falling.

Of being heard, of being seen.
