That ship has sailed. It sailed years ago when we all happily leapt on to Facebook, then Twitter, and before that Google already had all our data anyway.
We willingly, naively perhaps, made ourselves the product.
Tech will always tech, tech bros will always monetise without thought of ethics.
We made this bed.

I think you are onto something though. I just think it’s hard to blame ourselves as a collective, given how consumers think and act these days…
I can’t even look at your website because the anti-AI scrape page is so aggressive.
That’s odd. It should only respond to User-agents which are very obviously bots. I do know google and claude have fallen for it at least, as they can’t provide any useful information about my site’s contents. I’ll look into it.
