I am not a fan of Eurovision, each to their own and all that, but it’s just not for me.
It IS for one of my best friends, who happens to be a lighting designer (he does some of the F1 races too), and sent a link to our chat group showing the work he’s done for Eurovision Vienna. It’s… amazing!
But then any time he shows off his work I find myself pinching myself to remember that this guy —who used to have long hair like Brian May, who has always been interested in the staging of a performance, and whom I’ve known since we were 16— is pretty successful at what he does! I mean, he’s just my mate…
