Who are you?

Dear Reader,

Firstly, thank you for taking the time to stop by and read my paltry contributions. Thing is, I was wondering if you could do me a small favour, it really shouldn’t take too long.

Could you possibly leave a comment on this post, and let me know where you are from?

That’d be great!

Of course, feel free to heap praise on me and this humble blog if you so wish, but, really, all I’m looking for is to try and capture the people who read this blog and are willing to comment.

Yours in appreciation and thanks,

Gordon

For some reason I only started paying attention to this blog a couple of weeks ago, which is why I haven’t commented here yet. But I’m reading and interested.

I’m a long-time technical writer/editor originally from the Chicago area, living in the Atlanta area since 1990. I found your blog on a list of technical writers’ blogs, but I can’t remember where I originally found that list. As the ones I read regularly refer to other bloggers, I add them, and my list keeps growing and branching out in new directions.

I came across the blog while researching Author-IT and DITA on the web, and now check back regularly. My new employer has no system or process for capturing documentation, so I’m up to my arms in the Web trying to find a suitable solution.

Why don’t you allow website address’s to be added (for those who wish, of course) – then perhaps we can see, and greet… this community of interested – and perhaps interesting – people.

  50. David, if you someone provides a link to their website, it is automatically linked to from their name in their comment.

But yes, it’s a bit hidden really. I’ll see what I can do to change that.

    Thanks for the suggestion.
