Shush

I’m here. At home that is, listening to the clunking, creaking bin lorry reverse into our cul-de-sac. There is a small crack in the ceiling in the corner of the room, my coffee cup sits, steaming, on my desk and I sit here and put off starting a million and one items on my list. Will I get any of them done today? I know I’ll get one or two done, but no doubt something will plop into my email and require ‘immediate action’.

That’s the one thing that annoys me the most – the constant changing of priorities, minds, ideas, direction. I can’t even escape it here. Connected. Tethered.
