Get lost, no I mean it in a nice way… This site has been a regular haunt of mine for, well over a year at least, and I still rely on it to make me look ‘cool’ (Hey guys, you seen this site… Wow man, that’s amazing, how do you find these?) – so I suppose I owe Jennett a beer or five, and a whole heap of thanks for his work. Just wish I was that dedicated!

It used to be that an apple a day kept the doctor away, well we are now in a technological age, so replace that apple with a simple mouse click or two. You can make a difference –

bookmark_borderPride Earned?
Should’ve posted this yesterday (also posted on speechtherapy : )
From an outsider’s point of view (i.e. the rest of the world, although I am only speaking for me… obviously) the American ‘pride’ in being American is a strange thing. Tell me, what did you fight for to gain that pride? Who were your rulers? Where is the history of suffering that is now over that still burns underneath your passion for America. We are told that America is the best county in the world. The most powerful, the most successful, etc etc. But why? Where is the substance to this argument? There are more people in China, more inventions created in Scotland (well the major ones anyway), Australians are better are sport, etc etc. Yes you can argue against these modern day comparisons, but you can’t argue against history. I am proud to be Scottish as we survived under the rule of the English for longer than America has existed. Where does the pride come from?

Another overcast, hot, sticky, muggy day. Home for a quick shower methinks. We are on a health kick at the moment, well more a kind of healthy eating, ‘let’s actually bother cooking instead of slumping in front of the TV and having beans on toast’ type kick. So far so good, cannelloni, poached salmon, home-made (and healthy) pizza etc etc. Now I’ve just got to get back into this exercise thing and I’m sorted!

Thunderstorms. I love them, but not as much as she does. I sit and watch the rain, the forks of lightening, listen to the thunder. Then I sit and watch her, watch her react, happy, excited, like a child. That’s why I like thunderstorms.
