Less less less

I don’t set resolutions but I always end up with some, this year is turning out no different. Last year the theme seemed to become ‘be healthier’. Whether that was in body (eating healthier, trying to get more exercise) or in mind (avoiding ‘drama’ wherever possible) it seemed to work. That theme remains for this year but more by way of habit, although I do need to re-enforce it a little better, and it already seems like this year the theme is around simplicity. My new role at work is seeing me involved in conversations about processes which seem overly complex. I’m slowly decluttering my flat, my possessions to remove as much of them as I can. The single customer view

I just found this sitting in my drafts folder. The company name has changed (we are now Kana Software) but the premise is the same. Interestingly, the parallels between our thoughts on customer service and the thoughts in tech comms of better integration within a support system (providing information as part of call deflection) are striking. I’m going to try and pull these together in a future post. I was asked to write an article for Credit Control Journal on behalf of the company I work for, and for the sake of historical archiving (and so I know I have it somewhere), here is that article.

To see, or not to see

Yesterday I mentioned that seeing Glasgow was on my agenda for the coming fortnight. Perhaps I should’ve checked that I could still get tickets. Arse. All sold out. That leaves the SMS tour round Merchant City, and the Open Door Day. We’ll probably go for a wander round the Necropolis ourselves though as Louise and I share the same fascination of cemetries (for reasons I won’t go into here, and that only a handful of people know, he said, mysteriously).
