I’m rebranding The “one man” brand is getting an update, and all of my sites will get a few design tweaks. Whilst I’m in the midst of that, is there anything I need to do for this site? I know about the comment numbers in IE (cropped on the left), and that the search isn’t working from all pages but, those aside, are there any other major issues that need fixed, or anything that you’d like to see? 2. Amazon Associate

OK I’ve joined the Amazon Associates program to make LOADS of money. Or probably not. But it has set me thinking. An example will best demonstrate my thoughts: I’ve got a CD wishlist (which isn’t on Amazon as it really needs to be kept separately.. far too long you see) one of which is Sade’s latest album. I’ve read the reviews, and heard a track or two, and it sounds like it will be quiet good. Then I spot that Hydragenic has an ‘Associates’ link to it. Appendix

I’ve often considered either switching this site or launching a new one which dealt with my professional interests and opinions, a la zeldman. Trouble is I’m not sure how many people would care, and how to narrow down what I do so as not to tread into too many areas. Writing, Grammar, Evolution of language, UI design, HCI, web design and usability, educating users, etc etc – the list is endless. That’s one of the joys of being a Technical Communicator – you get to do LOADS of different things, unfortunately it is assumed that you don’t do any of them as well as a ‘qualified’ professional (except the writing bit that is).
